Cbus Property, one of the country’s largest apartment developers, says the NSW government’s controversial plan to triple the number of residents in an affluent Sydney suburb is unworkable, warning that intense local opposition and a slow planning process would make projects in the area unviable.

The Minns government has announced plans to build a new station in Woollahra and add 10,000 people to the area. It plans to replicate the strategy in other established areas around the city, raising the prospect of long campaigns against development from existing residents.
