If you’re ready for a warm weather getaway, then the good news is that spring break is fast approaching. Spring break is the perfect opportunity to relax, sunbathe, party, and spend time on the beach.
But where should you go?
Spirit Airlines has revealed the most sought-after spring break destinations with their customers for 2025.
And it’s Florida’s time to shine with three of the five destinations on the list located in the State.
Here are the top 5 most popular spring break destinations:
5. San Juan
San Juan is the only destination on this list that isn’t on the U.S. mainland. However, because Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, you won’t need a passport to visit this tropical island paradise.
San Juan boasts beautiful beaches, colorful architecture, and a lively nightlife scene. If you want to top up your tan then visit Condado Beach, an urban beach that’s a great place for sunbathing and water sports.
Culture vultures will love the Castillo San Felipe del Morro, a UNESCO-listed 16th-century fortress with a rich history as well as incredible views across the coast.
Visit San Juan between March 6 – 16 to enjoy Circo Fest. This is a unique event now in its 9th year that will showcase more than 80 shows simultaneously throughout Old San Juan. It’s a real visual treat!
As an added bonus, San Juan has affordable airfare and hotel rates, making it one of the most affordable Caribbean destinations you can visit this spring.
4. Miami
Miami is a traditional spring break destination, and for good reason.
The beaches in Miami are known for being some of the best in the world, and because it’s located on a barrier reef across Biscayne Bay, it’s a great place for scuba diving and snorkeling, too.
If you only have time to visit one spot in Miami, then make it South Beach. More than just a classic beach resort, the streets here are lined with candy-colored art deco architecture.
Spring break in Miami can become a riotous party, and hotels and other accommodations can book up quickly.
So, if you’re thinking of spending spring break in Miami, then it’s a good idea to plan ahead.
3. Las Vegas
Viva Las Vegas! A party destination that needs no explanation.
This is a city where travelers let their hair down, and it has a nightlife scene like no other.
You’ll find some of the best casinos in the world here, high-end hotels along the Las Vegas strip, and mega-clubs featuring sets by the world’s best DJs.
One excellent reason to visit Las Vegas this spring is that on March 28, Motley Crue will launch a Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live inside the Park MGM. An amazing opportunity to see an epic band!
And if that’s not your thing, then the Black Eyed Peas will be playing at Planet Hollywood throughout the month, too.
Motorsport enthusiasts can watch the races at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the iconic Spring NASCAR weekend.
This will take place from March 14-16.
2. Fort Lauderdale
Another Floridian entry to the list of spring break destinations, Fort Lauderdale is a popular spot thanks to its pristine beaches and abundance of water activities.
Take a boat tour, hire a jet ski, or if you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, then try your hand at paddleboarding.
If you’re looking to party, then you’ll also find a high-octane nightlife scene in Fort Lauderdale. Bars, nightclubs, and live music venues steal the scene here.
Head to Las Olas Boulevard, Downtown Fort Lauderdale, and Central Beach for the best nightlife in Fort Lauderdale.
Las Olas Boulevard is particularly noteworthy thanks to its high-end boutiques and restaurants that sit alongside the bars and clubs.
1. Orlando
The most popular spring break destination for 2025 is Orlando, Florida.
And this should come as no surprise to anyone who’s visited!
Orlando is considered America’s theme park capital and home to more than a dozen different theme parks.
From the magic of Walt Disney World to the thrills of Univeral Studios, and even a Pepper Pig Theme Park if you visit with pre-schoolers. There’s something for everyone.
But there’s so much more to Orlando than just roller coasters.
The sheer number of tourists that visit each year means that Orlando boasts world-class dining experiences and a vibrant nightlife scene.
If you want to escape the hustle and bustle, then in downtown Orlando, you can explore Lake Eola Park, where you can rent swan boats on the lake ($15 for 30 minutes) or take a paddleboard across the water.
Shopaholics will be pleased to hear that Orlando is a shopper’s paradise. Choose from the Florida Mall, the Mall at Millenia, or one of the many outlet malls for discount shopping options.
