Seaside 19th century property transformed into five apartments

Developers DKB Property Development Ltd have been working to convert Tehidy House, on the corner of Orwell Road and Tower Road in Felixstowe, into five apartments for sale on the open market.

Two of the properties are available for sale with estate agents Diamond Mills, with the other three going through the buying process.

Two ground-floor apartments come with private, sizeable gardens and all residents have access to a shared community garden.

The penthouse apartment offers panoramic views over Felixstowe seafront.

The property was originally built in 1895 and was originally used as a doctor’s surgery and homes, but had stood empty for eight years before being brought back to life as the apartments.

The renovation was originally conceived as a 12 month project, but took significantly longer due to planning delays and the extent of the work needed once the building was stripped back.

“We’ve invested an extraordinary amount of money into this project – far more than we originally imagined – but the result is a beautifully restored building that’s now impressively future-proofed, with electric vehicle points, solar panels and more.”
