Choose to visit El Jadida, a popular port city located between Casablanca and Essaouira, on Morocco’s Atlantic coast. Explore its many treasures of architecture including; a Portuguese city, stone cistern, authentic madina, a souk and a fish market.

Or choose to explore the road along the lagoons to; Oualidia, protected by the ocean by a long line of sand dunes. Or if you want to see some of the sites, discover Marrakech and its gardens of Menara, Loutoubia, the Jemaa Fna and much more!

Ouzoud Falls Morocco

Escaping the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, take a 4×4 trip {93 miles} northeast, to the village of Tanaghmeilt located in the Atlas Mountains.

This place is the home of spectacular; Ouzoud Falls.

On your way to the Falls, you will drive past lush valleys, old water mills and acres of fruit trees. Ouzoud Falls are 110 meters high, making it the highest falls in all of North Africa. You can walk down to the bottom, exploring some of its many caves along the way.

There’s a restaurant located under the shade of the olive trees where you can enjoy a traditional tagine, before heading back to Marrakech.

This is a wonderful full day excursion starting in the morning, and dropped off at your hotel in the early evening.

Three Valleys Day Trip From Marrakech

Atlas Mountains Valleys

This day trip takes you to the regions three famous {Valleys of Morocco}. Each have something completely different, but equally beautiful to experience. These Valleys are located in the beautiful Atlas Mountains.

In Ourika Valley, you will get an opportunity to explore the beautiful waterfalls, witness a local women at a local cooperative, extract Argan oil. Visit a bio aromatic garden, filled with medicinal and decorative plants.

On this excursion, you will also visit; Oukaimeden Valley, where you will drive up a secluded mountain road and see the traditional {Berber} villages.

Your last stop will be {Asni Valley} and see the many fruit orchards filled with; apple, peach, walnut and almond trees. All nestled high in the Atlas Mountains with spectacular views!

You will have the option to extend this excursion if you wish and continue on to see; Takerkoust Lake and the limestone Kik Plateau.

Marrakech Full Day Discovery Tour

This is a full day Marrakech sightseeing tour, and includes a delicious traditional lunch at a; Medina restaurant. Stroll through a maze of narrow streets in the Medina and pick up a souvenir or two, while visiting the famous – Souks (an Arab market or marketplace; a bazaar).

Enjoy the many wonders of Djemaa El Fna Square.  With juice stalls and snake charmers by day and story tellers, magicians and food stalls by night.

On this full day excursion, which will also include the chance to see the Bahia Palace, and Saadian Tombs.

This excursion is a foodie lover’s dream!

Starting at 6pm, the Marrakech’s main square starts to fill quickly with a variety of food vendors. The atmosphere of this; UNESCO World Heritage Site is electric, and your guide will lead you into small side streets just off the square.

Here, you will discover food shops and a number of stalls, many tourists don’t know about. To begin your food journey, try the wide variety of olives, nuts and Moroccan snacks, before filling up at the beef and poultry market.

Next on the agenda is the spice market and you will definitely want to take some home with you!

Your senses will be overwhelmed with the many colors and scents in this marketplace. Your guide will expand your knowledge of Morocco’s history, explaining how Morocco became a spice trading center.

But your journey doesn’t end there!

Once you have finished trying and buying an array of spices, your next stop is the; open-air markets. Here you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of breads. To end your excursion, your last stop will be dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the heart of; Djemma El Fna.

Atlas Mountain Hot Air Balloon Ride From Marrakech

If you don’t mind early mornings, this excursion is for you!

You will be picked up and taken to the hot air balloon launch site, where you will enjoy a variety of Moroccan breakfast snacks and drinks.

Afterwards, it’s time to step into the basket (each that holds a maximum of 16 people). Once airborne and high in the sky, witness the beautiful sun rise, breath-taking desert scenery. Soak in a bird’s eye view of the foothills of the – High Atlas Mountains.

The hot air balloon ride lasts around 40 to 50 minutes. Once you have landed, you will be taken into a tent to enjoy a full Berber Breakfast including; pancakes, corn bread, olives, fruit, and of course, mint tea!

This outstanding excursion also includes a short guided camel ride through the {Palmeraie} desert village, surrounding the camp. You will be also presented with a certificate as a souvenir of your hot air balloon experience, before being taken back to your hotel in the late morning.

As you can see, Morocco has a variety of wonderful things to see and do during your visit. So start planning your exciting vacation to this beautiful part of Africa.
