LIBERTY – The former Grossinger’s Resort property and adjacent land, totaling 1,100 acres, has been purchased by PPG Development in partnership with investor Andrew Spodek.

The acquisition is part of the South Florida-based company’s portfolio of high-end golf and luxury lifestyle residential development.

The land was acquired in two separate transactions: the Grossinger’s property from Cappelli Enterprises and an adjacent site from Muss Development.

“Grossinger’s is one of the most iconic and storied properties in the region, and we ae honored to be stewards of its next chapter,” said PPG Development CEO and founder Ari Pearl. “We are envisioning a thoughtful revival that celebrates its legacy while introducing a new era for the Hudson Valley.”

PPG’s current projects include Shell Bay in Hallandale Beach with a forthcoming Auberge hotel and residences; The Club at Emerald Hills in Hollywood; Orangebrook Golf & Country Club in Hollywood; and Dutchman’s Pipe in West Palm Beach.
