Deputy Prime Minister His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa affirmed that the deep-rooted ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman — nurtured by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq — form a solid foundation for the two nations’ longstanding partnership. He noted that these bonds continue to advance shared interests and support development across multiple sectors.
His Excellency highlighted that cooperation between the two countries, particularly in real estate development, reflects their mutual commitment to exchanging expertise and adopting modern approaches to regulating the property market and enhancing services. Such collaboration, he said, helps create a more attractive investment environment and strengthens the sustainability of future projects.
Shaikh Khalid made the remarks during a meeting held at Gudaibiya Palace this morning with an Omani delegation, attended by Engineer Essam bin Abdullah Khalaf, Chairman of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), and several senior officials. The delegation was led by Ali bin Salem Al Aisai, Registrar of Real Estate and Acting Director-General of Real Estate Development at Oman’s Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.
At the start of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed the visiting Omani officials, stressing that such exchanges provide valuable opportunities to deepen cooperation and enhance communication among specialists in the real estate and urban development sectors. He also emphasized the importance of continuing to expand areas of coordination to support policy development, future planning, and the readiness of real estate markets in both countries to meet evolving development needs.
For his part, Al Aisai expressed his gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister for the warm reception, praising Bahrain’s advanced experience in regulating the real estate sector through the effective role of RERA. He affirmed Oman’s commitment to further strengthening cooperation and expanding joint efforts in real estate development to serve shared interests. He also wished the Kingdom of Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
