Destination Osoyoos Visitor Centre & Gift Shop

Located right in town at the Junction of Highways 3 & 97, the Welcome Centre, should be your first stop, when arriving in town.
With helpful staff, a wide assortment of tourist maps, booklets and brochures, it’s the perfect place to start your visit to Osoyoos.
Osoyoos British Columbia – Location
The Town of Osoyoos is located in British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley, known for an abundance of vineyards and fruit orchards.

Bordering On Unimaginable – Destination Osoyoos Visitor Centre
This very popular lake, is known for being the warmest in all of Canada. Each season, it attracts visitors from all around the world.
The months of {June thru September} are peak period times, for summertime vacationers.
This small community of approximately 6,000 residents, is just 3.6 kilometers (2.2 miles), north of the United States, bordering Washington State.

Shop Local and Enjoy what Osoyoos has to offer!

The Destination Osoyoos Visitor Centre has a wonderful gift shop. Inside, you’ll find numerous items of; local art, jewelry, unique gifts, fashions and more.
There’s also some lovely displays of the local {First Nations Interpretive Centre}, that’s definitely worth a visit during your stay in Osoyoos.
Digital Osoyoos Visitor Guide and Mobile App
Destination Osoyoos has also an excellent Mobile App to download, offering some special; travel deals, contests to enter and more.
There’s also information on recommended places to; dine, shop, area attractions and special events.
For wine lovers, there’s a number of local wineries listed to check out, especially as this region is known for producing world renowned award winning wines.
Osoyoos Visitor Centre is normally open:
Mon thru Fri 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Be sure to check their website for updated days and hours, especially during the summer months. You can even shop at their Boutique at the Osoyoos Visitor Centre online if you prefer.

As well, below I’ve included a few local businesses we enjoyed visiting, during our stay in town.
These businesses are supported by; Destination Osoyoos, and ones my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed,
on our visit.
Be sure to make your camping/hotel reservations well in advance, especially during the peak season months; June thru September.
La Marqueza Mexican Tacos and Market
La Marqueza Mexican Mexican Restaurant and Market is located right downtown on Main Street, offering fresh, authentic dishes including; tacos, burritos, and more.
Their small shop also features imported Mexican products including; spices and grocery items.
Their chicken burritos and burrito bowls were outstanding!
Both were perfect to take out and to enjoy at the North Basin Brewing Co., with an ice cold craft beer!

Located downtown along the waterfront and next to the Watermark Beach Resort, they offer a variety of in house brewed craft beer.
From lagers to ales, and stouts to IPAs, uniquely created and named. This is a great place to relax and enjoy your favorite brew inside, or out on their patio.
They also encourage you to; BYOF (bring your own food) into their taproom & patio, to enjoy your meal over a cold one!
This is exactly what we did, bringing our take out dinner from La Marqueza Restaurant, to sit, relax and try their popular; Sampler Tray of Craft Beer!
North Basin Brewing
JoJo’s Cafe
Also located on Main Street in town, JoJo’s Cafe is your go-to establishment for; lattes, americanos, cappuccinos, mochas and iced drinks.
They also serve fresh, made-to-order sandwiches, homemade soup, muffins and more.
Their toasted BLT sandwich was an excellent choice for lunch, with a freshly brewed cup of coffee.

Lakeside Cellars Osoyoos
This is wine country, featuring some of the best award winning wines produced, in British Columbia.
Lakeside Cellars is no exception and upon purchasing their lakeshore property a few seasons ago,
the present owners also inherited old-vine plantings.
Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, planted in 1998 on the property.
“Our wines are expressive of Canada’s cool climate desert terroir: vibrant, ripe fruit balanced with mouth-watering acidity. They pair perfectly with the sun-seeking lifestyle of our small beach town.”
Be sure to stop by their wine tasting room and purchase some of their fine wines, locally produced.
My wife and I enjoyed a bottle of their “Bubbly” in our room at the Watermark Beach Resort.
