So when I was approached by my collaborating guest author, offering to contribute a post on this region, I jumped at the opportunity.
Here’s a look at what he has to say, about this beautiful part of Brazil.

Welcome to the largest {Carnival} and one of the {Most Famous Beaches}
in the World!
Nestled between tropical rain forests and the Atlantic Ocean, it’s full of life, joy and music.
The first association with this wondrous city is the beautiful view from the {Pão de Açúcar}.
Speaking of views, many flock to its famous beaches such as; Copacabana and to view,
the beautiful women of Brazil!
The city is most famous of course, for the Carnival.
However, Rio also offers visitors impressive; architecture, museums and fabulous dining.
The city has 23 beautiful sandy beaches that provide a total length of 73 kilometers.
Rio de Janeiro is also, one of the most densely populated areas in the world.
The Famous Carnival of Rio De Janeiro
Thousands of visitors flock to the city each and every year.
Many to experience the annual Carnival and its parades of beautiful woman,
dancing to the rhythm of … Samba.
The famous {Carnival} takes place usually in later February each year.
If you plan to visit Rio at this time, you’re definitely in for a special treat!
Beautifully decorated masked people are seen everywhere and having fun,
partying and dancing throughout the day and night to music, throughout the city.
The Carnival is definitely something for those who love excitement.
This is something one should experience, at least once in their lifetime.
The other similar event that gathers many people is New Year’s Night .
This is when many locals dress in white clothes, gather together and celebrate,
on the beaches of Rio.
Here, thousands of candles are lit, with music and dancing on the beach.
Watch as people throw flowers and other gifts into the sea, honoring and praying,
to the; Goddess of Sea – Yemaná.
Copacabana – Voted One Of The Worlds Best Beaches
One of the most characteristic aspects of the Brazilian culture of life are of course, the beaches.
You can find them spread along most all of the coastal areas.
Spending time on one of the beautiful beaches of Rio, is among one of the most favorite things to do.
Choose from the many beaches in Rio, like the world renowned; Copacabana.
The perfect and most popular beach to enjoy, as part of your holiday in the sun!
The sun is hot in Rio, so your stay at the beach should be planned,
early in the morning, or late in the afternoon.
The most popular beach in Brazil and certainly one of the most famous,
in the world is … Copacabana
Located on the east coast of Brazil, you can enjoy this fabulous beach and the superb weather,
throughout the year.
It’s no wonder why Copacabana enjoys receiving over one million tourists from around the world,
each and every year!
The beach seems endless, stretching for 4 kilometers.
Starting from the rescue tower Posto Dois, to the rescue tower in Posto Seis.
The famous Copacabana Promenade is a paved black and white path designed by Roberto Burle Marx.
Construction of this beautiful promenade was completed in 1970.
On both ends of the beach, you’ll find Historic Forts,
which are major tourist attractions to visit in the city.

Fort Copacabana, is located on the south end of the beach and was built in 1914.
Forte Duque de Caxias on the northern end, was constructed back in 1779.
All along the Copacabana Promenade, is where to find; luxurious hotels, restaurants, bars and night clubs.
This is an extremely popular and very well known area, frequented by tourists and locals.
Apart from Copacabana, there are two other smaller beaches to visit.
One located at Fort Copacabana and another right after called; Diabo Beach.
There is also Arpoador Beach, which is a little piece of paradise attracting;
surfers and other water enthusiasts.
This area was one of the four major {Olympic Zones}, during the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
Copacabana beach is also famous for hosting the official FIFA World Cup Soccer on sand.
As one of the most frequented tourist destinations in the world, Copacabana may have lost a part of its; charm and the mystique, that it once had.
Nevertheless, the beautiful marine landscape that mixes with the city, makes this a perfect …

Apart from offering its beautiful sights and attractions, Copacabana also represents a unique; culture and way of life.
A culture and lifestyle that continues to attract tourists, from all over the world.
Throughout the year, Copacabana beach is always filled with interesting events to take part in.
From morning classes of yoga, observing photo sessions with famous models for magazine covers,
viewing the women’s beach volleyball team, to the midnight parades of attractive dancers,
