Celebrity Cruises is officially entering the river cruise market. In 2027, the line will launch two purpose-built ships, the Celebrity Compass and Celebrity Seeker, with itineraries along the Rhine and Danube.

These ships are designed to bring Celebrity’s modern luxury approach to Europe’s rivers. A highlight will be the Magic Edge dining pods, cantilevered spaces that extend over the water for a new take on riverfront dining. Guests will also find expanded open decks, featuring shaded seating, a bar and grill, and an infinity-edge plunge pool—more outdoor space than typically found on river vessels.

Every stateroom will include a king-size bed and clever storage. Suite guests receive added perks like “Butler Chat” on-demand butler service, exclusive dining access, complimentary laundry, and priority excursion booking. A new option, the Skylight Infinite Balcony Suite, will incorporate a ceiling window to maximize natural light. All accommodations will come with a stocked mini-bar and regional-inspired amenities.

Dining and drinks won’t be limited. The ships will feature eight restaurants and bars, including the Martini Bar, Sunset Bar, and Café al Bacio. Menus will showcase regional cuisine, and for the first time on a river cruise, guests will have all-day dining access.

The initial program includes 33 seven-night sailings on the Rhine and Danube, with itineraries featuring multiple ports in a single day, overnight stays, and curated excursions like wine tastings in Austria and visits to Budapest’s thermal baths. Guests can also extend their vacations with pre- and post-cruise hotel stays.

Priority booking opened in August with a refundable deposit, giving early guests the first chance to secure reservations before the cruises officially go on sale in 2026.
