Carnival Cruise Line finally has a non-alcoholic drink package that goes beyond soda. The new CHEERS! Zero Proof package is now available across the fleet, giving cruisers who don’t drink alcohol another option besides paying per drink or sticking to Bottomless Bubbles.
For years, you had two choices: CHEERS! if you wanted cocktails and just about everything else, or Bottomless Bubbles if soda was all you cared about. Zero Proof fills the gap in the middle. It covers:
- Specialty coffees and teas
- Mocktails
- Bottled water
- Energy drinks
- Soda and select juices
Pre-cruise, CHEERS! Zero Proof runs $30.60 per person, per day (with gratuities included). If you wait until you’re onboard, the cost goes up to $35 per person, per day. Like Carnival’s other drink packages, it has to be purchased for the full length of your cruise — no trying it out for just a day.
Here’s how the three packages stack up now:
- CHEERS!: $69.95 per person, per day plus 18% gratuity (pre-cruise). Includes cocktails, beer, wine by the glass (up to $20), soda, specialty coffee, bottled water, mocktails, energy drinks, and more.
- CHEERS! Zero Proof: $30.60 per person, per day pre-cruise ($35 onboard, gratuities included). Covers all the same non-alcoholic options without alcohol.
- Bottomless Bubbles: Starting at $6.95 per person, per day plus gratuity. Includes soda and select juices only.
Whether Zero Proof makes sense depends on what you normally drink onboard. A latte runs The value of Zero Proof comes down to what you usually drink onboard. A latte runs around $4–$6, and mocktails are usually $7–$10 each. If you’re someone who grabs a couple of coffees a day and likes a fancy mocktail with dinner, you’ll likely come out ahead. It’s a solid choice for non-drinkers who still want variety, parents with teens who love Starbucks-style drinks, or anyone who’d rather keep a bottle of water or energy drink in hand instead of soda. If all you really want is soda refills, Bottomless Bubbles is still the cheapest way to go.
Mocktails and specialty coffees have been growing in popularity on ships, and it feels like Carnival finally caught up with that demand. CHEERS! Zero Proof gives non-drinkers more flexibility and rounds out Carnival’s drink package lineup in a way that makes sense.
I’m glad to see Carnival expand beyond the soda package. It’s nice to finally have an option that works for guests who don’t drink alcohol but still want the extras. For a full breakdown of all three drink packages with current pricing and details, see my updated Carnival Drink Packages Guide.
