MTN Fun Basecamp

Now under new ownership, on our visit a few seasons ago it was known as; Wonderland Valley Resort. This is a full facility campground, which also offers hotel room accommodations. All in a peaceful, rustic and country like setting.

The park is conveniently located directly off the Sea to Sky Highway, and within an hour’s drive of the City of Vancouver. It’s also on the way to the world renowned Ski Village of Whistler, BC.

14 heavily treed acres and mountain views complete with a running stream, offering a rustic country feel.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here for a couple of nights a few seasons back, while enjoying the many tours and attractions the Squamish region has to offer.

From magnificent Shannon Falls to the amazing Sea to Sky Gondola, you simply must make a point of stopping and enjoying all this adventure playground has to offer!

In fact, the New York Times voted Squamish as one of the Top 52 Places in the World to Visit!

This campground offers well maintained recreational vehicle sites that can accommodate the largest of Class A motor homes, complete with full hookups and internet wi-fi connection throughout the campground.

There are plenty of attractive grassed sites as well, available for those tenting, along with larger group camping areas.

My wife and I love camping, but we also like our conveniences now that we are getting a little older. We enjoyed our days of tenting, but are very happy camping in our Class C motor home today. We also prefer campgrounds that are not open spaced, paved parking lots.

One may as well park at Wal-Mart!

This resort offers the best of everything for those that want that {Rustic Country Feel} of camping outdoors, but also conveniences such as;

If you love the outdoors and mountain biking, then this is the perfect destination for you in Squamish. There’s biking trail access areas right from the park, and the owner will even safely store your bikes if needed.

For those that pleasure bike on the flat trails and roads like our selves, you can safely ride from the campground.
There’s a scenic route off the highway going into the city, and to other area popular attractions to visit in Squamish.

Looking for comfortable and affordable accommodation, in a country camping like atmosphere

Wonderland has 5 full kitchenette suites, that are perfect for short or long stays. These suites are ideal for those looking for a more peaceful setting, instead of your typical off the highway expensive motel or hotel lodging.

It’s like camping out in the woods, but enjoying a comfortable well- appointed room at the same time. Perfect for those who prefer not to haul around all that camping equipment, or the expense of renting or owning a recreational vehicle.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground a few seasons ago. The owners during our visit, were friendly and eager to assist and help out with anything that you may need, at any time.
We will certainly be returning on our next visit to Squamish and area.

As mentioned, this RV Park has been sold and renamed to MTN Fun Basecamp.
