Quebec City Accommodation – Alt Hotel Review
On our Cross Canada travel adventure a few seasons ago, one of our stops along the way was in Quebec City.
While here, we enjoyed a lovely 2 nights stay at the stylish …
Alt Hotel Quebec
This was our third visit and stay with {Group Germain Hotels} on our travels across Canada.
This is a family owned and operated hotel chain including; Le Germain Hotels, Alt and Alt+ Hotels across Canada. A very unique and successful Canadian owned family-run business.
In fact, they are now ranked as one of Canada’s 50 Best Run Companies.
Celebrating well over 30 years in business, they are continually expanding their network of properties across the Nation.

Staying At The Alt Hotel In Quebec City
As with our other two Alt Hotel stays, we were greeted and checked in quickly at the reception desk. On this stay, we were booked into an Upper Floor Unit.
You immediately noticed upon arriving, the relaxed and comfortable feel the lobby had.
Room choices include; Bed with Shower or Upper Floor Bed with Bath & Shower
The Alt hotels guest rooms are smaller than most, but very well appointed with all the modern conveniences and more.
The rooms are very stylish with a modern unique flair, complete with large windows, floor to ceiling mirrors and bath that has that spa looking feel.
The king bed and bedding was attractive looking and very comfortable.
In room wi-fi was excellent along with a desk and chair with plugins, making this hotel perfect for pleasure and business travelers.

Egyptian cotton and bamboo linen;
Goose down comforter;
Feather centre “duvet” pillows;
Italian-designed armchair for optimal comfort;
Specialty coffee machine and capsules;
Free Wi-Fi;

Multi-plug connectivity panel for electronic devices;

Iron and ironing board;
Spa-style shower with a shower head;

What I really thought was unique for this hotel was the cool mini-bar located in the lobby.
There’s a variety of items available for purchase, including alcohol at very reasonable prices. Unlike that of what you would normally pay to purchase an item from an in-room minibar.
The Alt Hotel Quebec offers ten individual meeting spaces, perfect for a variety of functions.
On site parking is also available for guests.

Fitness Room
For those of you looking to keep your workouts in while traveling, this hotel has an excellent fitness room.
From a treadmill, spinning bike, elliptical, multi-station device, balloons, free weights and more. There’s everything you need for a complete workout.
Don’t worry about what time you need to get your workout in, it’s open 24 hours for registered guests.
Alt Hotel Quebec City – Location
This hotel is just perfect for both business and pleasure travelers alike.
We found taking Uber from the hotel to Old Quebec City and attractions, quick and affordable. We paid an average of $15 to $18 { a few seasons back}, for a fifteen minute Uber ride to the historic part of Quebec City.
There are also city public transit buses conveniently located within the block of the hotel, for easy access to the town center as well.
The hotel is ideally located in the center of a “hybrid neighborhood,” just steps away from Laval University Grounds and minutes from Jean-Lesage International Airport.
There’s a large shopping mall across the street and restaurants within easy walking distance as well.
There is a separate restaurant connected to the hotel also, that will also provide room service for guests if so desired.
Recommendations
What’s unique with this hotel brand and what I really like, is that they offer guests a flexible late check out time when requested in advance.
Something you definitely do not see, or that we’ve ever come across in all our years of travel.
If you’re searching for an upper scale and very modern looking hotel that’s ideally located in Quebec City proper, this hotel is an excellent choice.
Whether for business or pleasure, this hotel is a great choice!
