One of the highlights of our city break in Prague was staying at the highly recommended Four Seasons Hotel Prague, which is located a short walk away from the Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. In this Four Seasons Prague review, I’ll share our experience staying at the hotel and the extra touches that made our family stay more comfortable and special.
Four Seasons Prague Review
The Four Seasons Hotel Prague is not only a lovely hotel with a prime location on the Vltava River, but it is also a family friendly and accommodating place to stay for a weekend city break.
When we booked our weekend stay at the Four Seasons Prague, we received an email a week before our arrival with a form to fill out. It was a quick and convenient way to book an airport transfer and any personal preferences for our stay.

There was also a section to provide our personal details for Express Check-in, fields to book a table at the hotel’s restaurant CottoCrudo or treatments at the health club. It was very helpful for making these arrangements in advance.
I also appreciated being asked to select a variety of interests – museums, opera, city tours, music concerts – to receive details from the Concierge on what was happening in Prague during our stay.
Four Seasons Prague Lobby
The lobby of the Four Seasons Prague is splendid, from the magnificent chandeliers to the stunning flowers in the main lobby and the reception area. Read on for more details about the interior and room in this part of the Four Seasons Prague hotel review.
The CottoCrudo Italian restaurant is on your right as you arrive, shown with the open door above. For the best view of Prague Castle from this level, you would need to go through the CottoCrudo restaurant to access the patio.
Past the main flower display in the Four Seasons lobby is a seating area with sofas and armchairs.
Room Reservation
The Four Seasons Prague offers a variety of guest rooms and suites, with several featuring stunning river views. The guest rooms range from 33 m2 (355 sq ft) to 47 m2 (503 sq ft) in size, with the options of a king bed or two twin beds plus one rollaway or crib.
Families can enjoy more space in the expansive luxury suites available, with separate sleeping and living spaces. Four Seasons Prague Hotel charges no additional fee for children 18 years of age and younger occupying the same guest room as their parents or guardians (space permitting). Special rates may be available if your family requires two rooms.
Four Seasons Prague Modern Room
For our stay at the Four Seasons Prague, we booked a Modern Room with a king size bed and a rollaway bed for our toddler. The Four Seasons Modern Room was comfortable and spacious enough (355 sq ft) and beautifully decorated.
The Modern Rooms don’t have a particularly interesting view, but there are several other options for rooms with views of the surrounding city streets. The Premier River Room options offer splendid personal views of the Vltava River and Prague Castle.
You can also request a crib or a rollaway bed if required ahead of your trip, in the email form I mentioned above, or at the reception desk when you check-in to the hotel.

One of the lovely family friendly touches during our stay was discovering a gingerbread biscuit ready to be iced after returning from dinner the first evening. The gingerbread horse was arranged on a plate with different coloured icing on the desk and several more biscuit treats.
Next to the plate was a bedtime story, a local children’s tale, and a colouring book with pencils.
Another family-friendly touch was the selection of children’s amenities, including toiletries for sensitive skin, a bath towel and rinse cup left for our son. Packed in a basket were colourful wash cloths, a bath sponge and bath toy.
Also in the bathroom was a step for the sink and kid-sized robe and slippers. It all truly made bath time a fun and special experience for our son.
The marble bathroom had a single vanity, a glass shower, a good-sized bathtub and a toilet in a separate room to the side.

CottoCrudo Restaurant
The Four Seasons Prague all-day dining restaurant, CottoCrudo, offers refined Italian cuisine made with locally sourced seasonal ingredients. CottoCrudo has an outdoor terrace with stunning views overlooking the Vltava River.
For breakfast, CottoCrudo serves a buffet and an a la carte menu, including a children’s menu.
The buffet breakfast includes a selection of cold cuts, cheese, salad and fruit. There are also hot food options, such as sausages, scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon.
The Czech doughnuts and poppy seed cake were both scrumptious!
Before making our way to the airport, we had one last glass of Champagne on the CottoCrudo patio that overlooks the river and Prague Castle. A great way to end a wonderful city break!
I hope you have found this Four Seasons Prague review helpful for planning your own city break in Prague. From the moment we set foot in the hotel, it wasn’t difficult to see why so many people had recommended the Four Seasons Hotel Prague to us.
