This tour, was aboard the comfortable and spacious; Lynda Mae, which departed from downtown Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour. This was a fully escorted one hour tour, where your friendly guide will entertain you, with the city’s history and also share some interesting facts about Victoria, as well.
This unique boat tour, offered a whole different perspective and view of Victoria from offshore, as many of you may know who enjoy taking those wonderful; cruise vacations!
As a matter of fact, from the months of {May thru September}, Victoria receives well over 250 cruise ships annually to the city. These are the lucky ones coming and going on the very popular Alaska Cruise itinerary.

On the day I enjoyed the tour, it was a beautiful sunny summer day! However, the winds were quite high at the time and our Captain, made the decision, not to venture too far out, in the interest of safety.
Once on board, you would cruise slowly in and around the harbour area. This gave you a first hand view of the downtown area of the city, from the water.
Some of the more prominent buildings our guide pointed out to us, were; the Parliament Buildings and the famous Fairmont Empress Hotel, an historic landmark.

As we made our way around the harbour, you could easily take in the sights of the city, on both sides of the boat. There’s a buzz of activity on the water at this time of year, with …

Perfect photo opportunities from the water!
This tour would also cruise past renowned Fisherman’s Wharf and just minutes away, from the where you board the boat. This is a great place to enjoy fresh fish and chips, from eateries located right on the dock.

When you reached the end of the harbour, may guests would be lucky enough to see the; cruise ships docked at Victoria Pier, as we were on this day. It just may be one of yours, if you have arrived in the city while on your; Alaska Cruise vacation.
