While other European countries are introducing measures to reduce overseas tourists, Ireland is still welcoming travelers with open arms.

As a result, American tourists flock to the country in droves!  

Admittedly not a country famed for its high temperatures, Ireland is an amazing all-season travel destination and a great escape from Southern Europe’s relentless heat during the summer months too.

Ireland has a rich history, an amazing food scene and pub culture, and breathtaking scenery.

As an added bonus, it’s easy to get to with nonstop flights from 22 U.S. airports.

 Why Visit Ireland in 2025  

There’s never a bad time to visit Ireland. Whether you want to drink thick and rich Guinness in Dublin’s Guinness Store House or see the iconic views as you stand on top of the Cliffs of Moher, there’s always something to see and do.  

But 2025 is a particularly great year to visit, especially for literary fans.

That’s because 2025 marks the125th anniversary of Oscar Wilde’s death and there’ll be events and celebration to honur this throughout the year.  

Visit Trinity College in Dublin to see a Wilde exhibition called From Decadence to Despair. And In Enniskillen, County Fermanagh in October there will be a festival dedicated to Wilde with special performances of his works.  

This year Northern Ireland was awarded its first cultural UNESCO World Heritage Site designation. This is the Moravian village of Gracehill in County Antrim and it’s one of the oldest Protestant denominations of Christianity. You can take special tours of the village throughout the year.

• Washington (IAD) with flights operated by Aer Lingus and United. 

• New York (JFK) with flights operated by Delta and Aer Lingus. 

• Newark (EWR) with flights operated by United and Aer Lingus. 

• Boston (BOS) with flights operated by Delta and Aer Lingus.  

• Philadelphia (PHL) with flights operated by American and Aer Lingus. 

• Minneapolis (MSP) with flights operated by Aer Lingus and Delta.  

• Los Angeles (LAX) with flights operated by Aer Lingus. 

• Atlanta (ATL) with flights operated by Delta. 

• Orlando (MCO) with flights operated by Aer Lingus. 

• Miami (MIA) with flights operated by Aer Lingus. 

• San Francisco (SFO) with flights operated by Aer Lingus. 

• Seattle/Tacoma (SEA) with flights operated by Aer Lingus. 

• Nashville (BNA) flights with Aer Lingus will launch in April 2025. 

• Indianapolis (IND) flights with Aer Lingus will launch in May 2025.  

• Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) with flights operated by American Airlines. 

• Cleveland (CLE) with flights operated by Aer Lingus.  

• Charlotte (CTL) with flights operated by American Airlines.  

• Hartford (BDL) – with flights operated by Aer Lingus 

• Denver (DEN) – Aer Lingus operates a seasonal service from May – September.  

• Las Vegas (LAS) with flights operated by Aer Lingus 

There are fewer nonstop services to Shannon, but if this airport better suits your needs because you want to spend time on Ireland’s west coast, then there is a year-round service operated from Boston and three additional seasonal services.

These are:

• Chicago (ORD) – United operates flights from May to September. 

• New York (JFK) – Both Aer Lingus and Delta operate flights from May to September.  

• Newark (EWR) – United operates flights from April to October.
