Wondering where to go for an epic beach vacation this spring?
HomeToGo did your homework for you and just unleashed their ‘2025 HomeToGo Beach Index‘, showcasing some truly hidden gems and big surprises for coastal escapes across the Motherland.
Spoiler alert: California gatekeepers may not want to read it as a truly secret beach was crowned number one, even I hadn’t heard of it and I’ve lived in California for the past decade.
Perhaps even more impressive is Florida, as there are 5 incredible beaches from the Sunshine State cracking the top 10 beach paradises to visit this spring — and it’s not Miami, Destin, or the yearly head-to-head dual between Siesta Key and Clearwater, which always seem to be in the running for Florida’s top beach escape.
These are Florida’s top 5 beach getaways this spring, according to HomeToGo:
5) Navarre Beach
It’s no secret many Spring Breakers will flock to Destin’s shores as it’s been a popular road trip destination for years.
What is a well-kept secret is one town over from Destin—Navarre. Along this white-sand barrier island is Navarre Beach, a less-crowded hideaway where you can enjoy tranquil shores away from all the Spring Break shenanigans.
In fact, Navarre’s adopted the moniker of “Florida’s Most Relaxing Place” and there’s only one way to prove it.
HomeToGo gives high marks to Navarre Beach in three separate categories, giving one such category a perfect 10/10 score.
That would be visitor satisfaction, so you know Navarre Beach has to live up to the hype! Followed by near-perfect weather and affordability across the board, Navarre should definitely be on your radar this spring.
4) Miramar Beach
On the flip side of Destin lies Miramar Beach, another white-sand haven for beachgoers looking for serene paradisal shores to kick back and relax after a long, brutal winter.
Picture turquoise waters, sugary white sand, and even a Hilton resort to cash out your points for a picture-perfect vacation.
HomeToGo gave the highest marks to Miramar Beach for affordability, followed by great scores for consistently amazing weather, where many days there’s not a cloud in the sky, which is why you’ll see many fellow vacationers out and about kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing rather than simply lounging beachside.
3) Pensacola Beach
If you’re seeing a common theme here, consider yourself a geography wizard! Yes, Pensacola Beach also lies near Navarre and Miramar Beach, which are fellow neighbors along the Gulf of… America?
Given how many road trips there are during Spring Break, Pensacola is often a go-to destination. It’s one of the easiest beaches to reach across Florida state lines if Alabama just isn’t your vibe for whatever reason.
Pensacola is known for its powdery white sand and vibrant emerald waters, but HomeToGo actually highlights the food and drink scene, earning it a 9/10 score.
With excellent beach bars and seafood shacks that would even make Jimmy Buffett blush, you gotta check out Peg Leg Pete’s if not for the name alone — and definitely snag a patio seat!
2) Vilano Beach
Your wish is my command — a top Florida beach away from the Gulf.
Vilano Beach is truly one of Florida’s last hidden gems and has somehow remained hush-hush because tourists in St. Augustine are so gobsmacked by the European vibes, they simply overlook one of the state’s best beach towns just a stone’s throw from America’s oldest city.
The Atlantic side of Florida is a whole different vibe, especially near St. Augustine as this region is teeming with history and ‘Old Florida charm’ as locals claim.
HomeToGo raves about the springtime weather here, giving nearly perfect scores for ‘clear skies’ and ‘heat’ categories.
As one of Florida’s most laid-back hideaways, you don’t have to worry about Spring Break crowds. Although, summer is a different story.
1) Saint Joe Beach
Welp. That didn’t last long. Back to the Gulf!
Saint Joe Beach lies east of Panama City, just past the scenic town of Mexico Beach. I wonder what they think about the Gulf’s new name…
Anywho, Saint Joe is far removed from college kids’ radars as a party zone, so you can relax in peace along this beautiful beach town’s unspoiled coast.
Less developed than your typical Florida getaway, that’s all part of the appeal. In fact, HomeToGo gave the highest score for visitor satisfaction, which speaks volumes about its authentic, timeless feel.
Whatever you do here, don’t skip Saint Joe’s lesser-known beach. T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park only costs $6 to enter, and when you see the spotless white-sand beaches here, you’ll agree it’s worth every penny of your coffee budget.
Plus, you can stay overnight in a cozy cabin and wake up to long stretches of beaches all to yourself.
