My family & I were fortunate to visit Italy a few seasons ago, while on our Western Mediterranean Cruise. We loved the country and wished we could have spent much more time there.
Upon hearing of Mark’s latest release in another part of Italy, I was delighted to have the opportunity to read and to offer a personal review of his new publication.
About The Author Of …

Mark Tedesco is a writer and educator residing in both California and Italy. Mark enjoys weaving stories connecting the present to the past and exploring longings expressed in relationships, events, culture, and history.
Mark has written in the genres of travel, historical fiction, memoir, self-help, and children’s fiction. His titles include: That Undeniable Longing, I am John I am Paul, Lessons and Beliefs, The Dog on the Acropolis, The Words of My Father, Loving Hoping Believing and She Seduced Me: A Love Affair with Rome.
Besides writing, Mark spent twenty-five years as an educator, always seeking to engage his students in his love of; history, literature and culture.
Mark travels in his free time, searching for stories that make life more fascinating.
Stories From Puglia {Review}
Mark’s newest adventure takes you to southern Italy, which is widely known for its; deep rooted history, olive orchards and incredibly rich culture.
Puglia, a southern region forming the heel of Italy’s “boot,” is known for its whitewashed hill towns, centuries-old farmland and hundreds of kilometers of Mediterranean coastline.
This is a part of Italy that’s definitely off the radar and grid for common tourists.
Once again, his book has you thinking whether you’re an everyday tourist or a real traveler, like Mark.
Mark likes to step out of the box and explore, experience and interact with the locals as much as he can.
The author writes in a way that makes you feel like you’re actually traveling along with him. Follow along as he explores, mingles with locals and inspires you at the same time with this region’s rich history.
Mark’s unique style of writing includes some incredible stories of history in the regions he writes about. His publications not only offer travel inspiration for the regions he writes about, but include many historical excerpts as well.
If you prefer less touristy and out of the ordinary places, enjoy unique travel adventures, sampling the local cuisine, then this book is a must read and a great inspiration for travel to this beautiful part of Italy.
Once again, his book will have you wanting to book a flight to experience Italy and the many beautiful places this country has to offer.
