From the hundreds of things to do on US Gulf Coast in March 2025 I narrowed my suggestions down to the following seven festivals and events. Cool, happy, and fun events that you expect to find on the Gulf Coast.
The following Gulf Coast March events include fun, festive, art, and history themes. March means an influx of Gulf Coast Spring Break and baseball Spring Training visitors. March holidays include St. Patrick’s Day and Vernal Equinox (the first day of spring).
And in 2025, Mardi Gras is in March so the first week of the month will be full of fun, festivities, and frolicking.

Gasparilla Festival of the Arts, Tampa FL, March 1-2, 2025
Continue the Gasparilla Season funness and winter US Gulf Coast art show tour at the 55th Annual Gasparilla Festival of the Arts. Join tens of thousands of visitors in Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park for one of the top outdoor, juried US fine arts shows with over 1,000 artists in attendance.

Emerald Coast Cruizin’, Panama City Beach FL, March 6-8, 2025
Emerald Coast Cruisin’—“The South’s Best Blast from the Past”—brings together automotive enthusiasts to the “World’s Most Beautiful Beaches” every year since 2005. Bring your own (or ogle other’s) classic cars, street rods, muscle cars, and other exotic and performance vehicles.

31st Mardi Paws Parade, Covington LA, March 9, 2025
Mardi Gras does not have to end on Tuesday. Head to downtown Covington in Louisiana Northshore for the traditional final event of Mardi Gras season.
“Mardi Paws Gets in the Game” is the theme for the 30th annual Mardi Paws Parade. The event is fun for spectators snd paw-ticipants alike.
Note that the Mardi Paws Parade moved from Mandeville lakefront to Covington in 2020. Attend the Krewe du Pooch Parade the day prior (Saturday) in Mandeville for more funness.

Collier County Fair, Naples FL, March 20-30, 2025
The 11-day Collier County Fair is a phenomenal family event with superb fair rides, fun games, fantastic entertainment, and plenty of food. Enjoy the live music acts, safari petting zoo, Space Adventures thrill show, Rock-N-Circus, racing pigs, Cowboy Circus, pro wrestling, livestock shows, butter carving exhibitions, and so much more.

Bayou Terrebonne Boucherie, Houma LA, March 22, 2025
Enjoy family-friendly Cajun food, fun, and festivity at the 5th Annual Bayou Terrebonne Boucherie, operated by bayou Terrebonne Distillers. Highlights include a white bean cookoff, live music, the now-famous Cajun Cup (a series of bayou-themed competitions), and some of the best pork of this planet.

Spring Arts Festival, Ocean Springs MS, March 22-23, 2025
The 32nd annual Spring Arts Festival takes over the gorgeous oak-lined streets of downtown Ocean Springs the last weekend of March. More than 150 arts, crafts, and floral vendors join hundreds of surrounding local art galleries, restaurants, and shops to celebrate art and culture.

South Texas State Fair, Beaumont TX, March 27 – April 6, 2025
One of the most popular annual Beaumont Texas events is the South Texas State Fair and Rodeo. Besides carnival rides, entertainment, and food, enjoy the exotic animal petting zoo, camel rides, and much more. Check out the Mutton Bustin’ event for 5-7 year old rodeo stars in the making.
