United Trust Bank (UTB) has made two appointments to its property development division as part of its expansion across England and Wales.
The specialist lender has hired Keeley Hawkes (pictured, left) as its manager to support Daniel Carlisle, senior director for property development. Hawkes has a breadth of experience in the real estate finance and construction sectors, including roles at RBS, NatWest, Assured Property Finance and property developer Aitch Group.
At UTB, Hawkes will support housebuilders and developers across London and the South East with development finance and development exit loans for residential, mixed-use and commercial projects.
Abigail Argue (pictured, right) has also been hired as a manager to support Luke Benton-Drury, director for property development.
Argue has more than 20 years of experience in banking and real estate finance, including 17 years at Close Brothers Property Finance, where she was most recently a senior portfolio manager.
At UTB, Argue will support housebuilders across the South East of England.

These hires follow Orla Costello’s appointment as deputy head of originations in property development, David Masters’ promotion to associate director for intermediaries and Ashley Collier’s promotion to associate director for property development.
Adam Bovingdon, head of property development at UTB, said: “Keeley and Abigail joined the team at an exciting time for UTB as we continue to grow our development finance business and broaden the support we provide to SME housebuilders and developers. They each bring a wealth of experience and insight from across the property finance sector, and they’re already making a great contribution to the team.
“Together, they strengthen our ability to deliver the flexible funding solutions, consistency and excellent service that our customers and broker partners value so highly.”
