Verace pizzeria in Ljubljana – Dr Jam Travels

On Sunday it was nice and sunny day, I walked to city over castle hill. In afternoon I got hungry and decided to visit Verace after long time. This is place where they stick to making traditional pizza neapolitana (specific flour, 48h for dough, owen from Napoli, …).

I arrived without reservation and got table right away. In 2016 when they opened that wouldn’t be possible. On menu they have classics like Margherita (tomatoe, cheese, basilica).

But this time I picked something from seasonal offer: Funghi e Zucca (porcini cream, vegan cheese, dried porcini mushrooms, roasted mushrooms with parsley and garlic, riccha salad, dried tomatoes, mixed seeds, pine nuts, cherry tomatoes, zucchini pesto).

It was as expected frsh and colorful. As is common for this kind of pizza, dough was chewy but easier to digest. I paid 16.9 €, for pizza 14€ and 2.9€ for 0,5l Radenska mineral water, Probably place you should visit if you are into this kind of pizza.
