Half of homes sold in eight weeks at exclusive Málaga development

The Be Grand El Limonar development, located in one of Málaga’s most exclusive areas, has achieved over 50% of sales in a record eight weeks since its launch. Listed on idealista, prices reach up to €3 million. This commercial success, managed by Gilmar, was celebrated on 17 June at an exclusive event on the terrace of the Hotel Miramar, attended by local authorities and representatives from the real estate sector. Notably, only eight apartments remain available, with buyers mainly from Spain, the Netherlands and Mexico, according to idealista/news.

Developed by Mexican property developer Be Grand, the project comprises 18 luxury homes that harmoniously blend architectural heritage with innovation. Three buildings – the Alcazaba, the Cathedral and the Roman Theatre – are renovated historic mansions, while the fourth, Muelle Uno, is a newly constructed building thoughtfully designed to complement the urban landscape of El Limonar.

Located in one of Málaga’s most sought-after areas, the homes boast terraces, gardens, a swimming pool, garages, abundant natural light and a high standard of energy efficiency and architectural elegance.

Málaga: urban growth respectful of local identity

At the event, Málaga’s Deputy Mayor, Francisco Pomares, praised the development as an example of “respectful and well-considered” urban growth. He highlighted that Be Grand El Limonar revives a part of the city’s residential heritage: “This area has long been a symbol of Málaga’s bourgeoisie and this project restores that elegant spirit, updated for the 21st century.”

Pomares also stressed the importance of maintaining orderly development in Málaga: “The city is expanding, but we want it to grow in a balanced and coherent way that respects its surroundings. That’s why we particularly value proposals like this.”

The positive market response was also emphasised by Alfonso Haro, Director of Promotions for Gilmar in the Southern Area, along with other representatives of the marketing company. They agreed that the functional design, prime location and sustainable approach were the key factors behind Be Grand El Limonar’s sales success.
