If you’re planning to visit Sin City with your family, you might be looking for kid-friendly hotels in Las Vegas.

It’s no secret that Vegas is known for gambling and nightlife, but you can still have a fantastic family holiday – as long as you stay in a family-friendly hotel.

Our girls have been to Vegas three times, twice when they were kids and once as teens, and every time they loved it for its big city lights and fun atmosphere.

To help you plan your family trip to Vegas, we’re sharing what we think are the most kid-friendly hotels in Las Vegas. These hotels are selected for their amenities and attractions, proximity to things to do, and comfort value.

It’s important to bear in mind when choosing hotels – this is Vegas, so many of the hotels we recommend will have non-family guests as well.

Most Vegas hotels are in casinos, so if you don’t like this, you may want to search off the strip – we’ve selected a few down below for you.

Family-Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas

We want to start our best Vegas hotels for kids that we’ve personally stayed in. We stayed at these properties on multiple trips to Vegas, and would stay there again.

1. Harrah’s Hotel & Casino – Central Strip

We think Harrah’s Casino is the best value hotel on the Strip for families.

We loved Harrah’s because of its ideal location in the center of the Strip, across the road from Caesar’s Palace and The Secret Garden (Formerly the Mirage).

The rooms were modern and had been renovated in 2021, costing $200 million, and you can really see it. It made it more modern and attractive.

We had great views out over the High Roller and mountains from our room, which was nice to wake up to.

While the pool area is smaller and maybe not as glam as other casino pools, I still liked it and our kids did too.

2. Treasure Island Hotel & Casino- Strip Central

Treasure Island is a little more upscale than Harrah’s, but with the extra amenities it may be worth it and place it as one of the best family hotels in Las Vegas.

It has a performance venue onsite, which currently offers the Cirque du Soleil show, the longest running entertainment show in Vegas.

There’s an outdoor pool, which kids can enjoy, though it’s only open in the summer and often has pool parties.

There might be a bit more of a party scene here in the actual casino area, but it has an ideal location in the center of the Strip so if you want a place to stay that is simply just a bed and conveniently located, I would recommend it.

If you want to enjoy hotel amenities, it’s not the most kid-friendly.

It does have rollaway beds and cribs available at no charge for those who pay the additional occupancy fee.

3. Mandalay Bay

My personal recommendation, and the general consensus from other families and travel bloggers is, the Mandalay Bay Hotel is the most kid-friendly hotel in Vegas. This is because, if all else fails, it has an incredible outdoor swimming pool with a lazy river and wave pool.

The 11-acre aquatic playground has a large lounge lagoon for mom and dad to enjoy, plus cabanas with an artificial beach, so you can feel like you’re by the ocean when you’re actually in the concrete jungle of Vegas.

There is also the onside Michelob ULTRA Arena, a 12,000-seater venue that hosts some highly acclaimed shows, and it also houses the Shark Reef Aquarium.

If your kids are feeling tired and lazy, at least there are plenty of things to do at the resort, which I don’t have to tell you makes for an easy life for everyone!

4. Excalibur Hotel – South Strip

If you’re looking for cheap family accommodation on the strip and a basic room, but with a character that your kids will fall in love with, you’ll find it at Excalibur.

After hours of research it was the cheapest we could find, and it has a Disney-like feel with its medieval theme. As soon as you walk up to the hotel, you’re greeted by castle turrets and drawbridges.

The highlight of the hotel is the on-site arcade called the “Fun Dungeon,” which is just for kids.

Although they’re fairly basic, the rooms are generally clean with comfy beds, and many of them also have views of the bustling Strip. If you have a child who loves castles and all things Medieval, they will likely love staying here, especially for the famous “Tournament of Kings” jousting show.

Excalibur is at the southern end of the Strip, which is about a 30-minute walk to the center.

The Excalibur is a good option for lower budget. We did have to step over a pile of vomit on the casino walkway one morning, but they cleaned it pretty fast, and hey you’re in Vegas!

You are right next door to the New York New York hotel here and will see that roller coaster zipping around each time you walk out. Our girls went on this ride and loved it.

The Luxor is next door to here as well. We have not stayed at the Luxor with kids before, but Craig and I have stayed there pre-kids.

It’s another good budget Vegas option similar to Excalibur. The kids may think it’s pretty cool to stay in a pyramid!

5. Flamingo Hotel & Casino

The Flamingo Hotel and Casino was renovated in 2018 costing $156 million, and it has this modern spin on what is quite a retro style.

I love it’s location on the center of the Strip, near to the Linq Promenade, which is one of my favorite areas on the Strip.

It features a Caribbean-style “GO Pool” with waterfalls and a water slide, and an adults-only area so you can avoid the party goers. There’s also a family-friendly Beach Club Pool, and a spa for mom to escape to!

When it comes to eating out, there are multiple dining options to choose from with five onsite restaurants.

The rooms are spacious and air-conditioned, and some come with multiple rooms which are perfect for families with older kids who need their own room.

The Flamingo also has a music venue and has performances from world-known musicians and bands.

What’s unique about The Flamingo is it has a wildlife center onsite, The Wildlife Habitat, which is a 15-acre sanctuary to see, you guessed it, flamingos.

6. Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally’s)

Across the road from The Flamingo is Horseshoe Las Vegas, which is a budget-friendly hotel with an outdoor pool and 8 onsite restaurants.

They have family rooms available and an onsite arcade. It also has a casino and evening entertainment, but it’s easy to avoid this.

It’s one of the more affordable places to stay on the Strip, if you want to stay central to the action but without the price tag.

Some notable landmarks nearby are The Fountains of Bellagio, one of the most famous fountain shows in Vegas, and the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens.

7. Circus Circus

Staying at Circus Circus is one of the best things to do in Vegas with teens. The reason for this is for The Adventuredome Indoor Theme Park, an indoor amusement park filled with a variety of rides and attractions, including roller coasters, bumper cars, laser tag, and arcade games.

Located within a climate-controlled dome, it offers a mix of adrenaline-pumping rides and classic carnival games. You can ride the iconic carousel or climb the rock climbing wall and bungee jump – there’s something for the whole family to enjoy.

As well as this, it has the Circus Circus Splash Zone pool, which has a 50 foot waterslide tower with three slides, a splash pad water playground, and two pools.

At night, sleep in spacious family rooms that are quiet and cozy.

It also has a shopping mall, and an arcade, The Carnival Midway, which has 200 popular and classic games for all ages. What more could your kids want on a family travel trip to Vegas!

8. New York-New York Hotel & Casino

Another hotel known for its attractions is the New-York New-York Hote, known for the Big Apple Coaster which runs through the hotel. Although I would say the price to ride this rollercoaster is a bit steep!

As well as the rollercoaster, it has a 150-foot replica of the Statue of Liberty, live entertainment, and several dining options – choose between burgers, pizza, street food and American or Italian cuisine – all of it kid friendly and fussy eater friendly!

There is also an outdoor swimming pool with private cabanas.

9. The Venetian

I would say the most famous hotel in all of Vegas is The Venetian Hotel. It’s famous for its architectural replicas of landmarks in Venice, including an actual canal with gondola rides.

The architecture and interior design alone are enough to wow every member of your family, but it also has more than this.

It has a huge convention center, which has hosted many big named singers such as Christina Aguilera and Jess Glynn over the years. It’s worth looking at the performance schedule to see who’s on when you visit.

There’s also a shopping mall and lots of on-site restaurants.

Las Vegas Hotels for Kids “Off” The Strip

Hotel rates will be cheaper off the strip, but do consider the extra time to walk or Uber to the Strip if that is where you want to hang out.

10. Rio All-Suite Hotel

The Rio is a Hyatt Hotel with spacious rooms, huge suites, and incredible views. Most rooms measure over 500 square feet and have high floors, so you won’t find a hotel that offers more space than this.

Outside it has a huge pool oasis, which was built in 2024 and has five pools and whirlpools.

As well as this, it has 11 restaurants, and a convenient location on the Strip.

11. Hilton Grand Vacations Suites

The Hilton Grand is a good choice for a family vacation as it’s on the North end of the Strip, 10-minutes walk away from the action.

It boasts a large outdoor pool with water fountains and has family rooms, each with a microwave, refrigerator and TV with HBO channels.

Best Family-Friendly Hotels in Downtown Las Vegas

Consider staying in Downtown Las Vegas if you want a unique take on Vegas. We loved the revitalized vibe here. We especially love Downtown East.

You may not wish to stay on Fremont St with kids. While fun in the day, it is really NOT kid-friendly at night.

12. Golden Nugget Saloon

The Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino is an awesome property and has a pool with a lazy river and waterslide through an aquarium that was named in the Top 10 list in the world.

Of course, there is an aquarium in the middle of the pool with sharks and a water slide that goes through the middle.

As well as the outdoor pool, it has nine onsite restaurants, a casino, and a spa. There’s also two Starbucks onsite.

There aren’t family rooms, but it does offer rooms with two double beds – it’s a good budget option if you don’t mind sharing a room with your kids.

13. Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino

This is not your typical Vegas style casino and hotel. It’s a boutique hotel with an industrial-chic vibe.

It’s known for the Citrus Grand Pool Deck, the largest pool deck in Downtown Las Vegas.

It has three onsite restaurants, a performance venue and a ground floor casino. It’s also where you’ll find the much loved Pizza Rock restaurant, an award winning restaurant.

This hotel is 400 metres from Fremont Street and also near the Mob Museum. I would recommend this if you have older kids, and be mindful when going out at night.

14. The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower

The Strat is near to the Art District of Vegas. It has two swimming pools, a casino, and 11 restaurants to choose from.

The location is a bit far from the Strip, and you’d need to get an Uber into downtown, but it’s location away from the action means you can get a more affordable price.

15. Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort

Some of you may be traveling through Las Vegas on an RV trip and are looking for more affordable Las Vegas accommodation.

We stayed for about a week at the Oasis RV Resort just south of the Las Vegas strip.

This is a really great RV Park and the staff are so helpful and nice. The kids loved riding their bikes around and swimming in the pool, which had a great tropical feel.

It was one of our favorite RV parks in our trip of the USA.
